Office Closed for Winter Break
Texas State University is closed for the winter break from December 24, 2024, to January 1, 2025. Our office will reopen on January 2 at 8 a.m.
Drop-In Need a quicker option for course planning?
We offer dates where students can drop in and spend 15-20 minutes with an advisor to get course recommendations. These spots are first come, first served.

First-Year Advising is available for appointments Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

First-Year Advising is located on the first floor of Trauth-Huffman Hall.

Appointment Modality
Appointments are available in-person at Trauth-Huffman Hall or online via Zoom.

Appointments vs Drop-In Planning
Schedule appointments with a First-Year Advisor are 30 minutes, and Drop-In Planning sessions are 15-20 minutes.
